Over 1,000 Year 12 students from seven ESF schools, travelled to Island School on 22 January 2014 as part of their journey to decide where they might like to and what they will study beyond school. Counselling is an ongoing process over many years, but at the fair it begins in earnest. At the annual ESF University Fair, students begin the choice of their actual destination. The emphasis changes, it is about the country, the courses available and choices to be made in relation to those skills, aspirations and aptitudes.
Over 130 universities from the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Europe and Asia participated and students, parents, university representatives and ESF higher education counsellors exchanged ideas regarding students’ university destinations and study choices.
event was a huge success, receiving positive feedback all round.
In particular, the Higher Education Department would like to thank the Island School volunteers for their assistance on the day.
