Dear Parents,

Re: Inter-House Athletics 2015

I am writing to let you know the arrangements for our Inter-House Athletics 2015.

The dates for the Heats are as follows:

Tuesday 13th January: Years 8 and 9 all day

Wed 14th January: Years 10 and 11 all day

Tue 20th January: Year 7 only for lessons 1 to 4

Thursday 22nd January: Years 12 and 13 all day

The Heats days will be held at:  The HKU Facilities at Sandy Bay, Sha Wan Drive, Pokfulam (opposite Kennedy School).

The school buses will bring the students to the ground and will also be there at the end of school to take students to Pier 3 and Admiralty Station.

On Tuesday 20th Jan, all year 7 students will be brought back to school by lunchtime and so will take the normal buses home.

Parents are most welcome to come and watch the Heats, but please note there is no parking at the Sports ground, so public transport would be advisable.

Students should wear House sports kit. Appropriate precautions against cold weather should be taken. Appropriate footwear is also required. Students are also asked to bring a packed lunch, a snack and water bottle. There is a small kiosk where drinks etc. can be purchased

Finals Day will be on Tuesday February 24th and will be held at Wanchai Athletics Ground, Tonnochy Road in Wanchai North, next to the Sun Hung Kai Centre.

The Finals will start at 8:30am (approximately) and school buses will be directed to bring students (who normally travel by school bus) directly to the sports ground.

Students should come dressed in House colours if they are spectating and House PE kit if competing.

Students who normally make their own way to school should aim to be at Wanchai Stadium by 8:15am.

The Finals should be finished by approximately 1:00pm and students will be dismissed to leave from there. There will be some buses to Pier 3, but the majority of students usually make their own way home by public transport or make arrangements to be picked up.

It is hoped that there will be lots of parents spectating at the Athletics finals and of course you will be free to take your child away once the event is finished.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send an email to Mrs.Worthington at or me at

Kind regards,

Derek Bailey
