An exhibition by Year 12 & 13 students showcased their diverse interests and their ability to conceive, research and develop their ideas – all the way through to production. The works on show, on 12th March were the final pieces from the BETC students’ extended projects.
Roger Wilkinson Head of Careers and HE Guidance/Applied Learning Pathway Coordinator said; “The challenge that these extended projects present is not the production of the final artifact but the agile approach students must take. Regardless of whether a student is creating a new font, a swimming instruction video or building a chair from skateboards all need to prove that they have adjusted their initial idea based on their research and development.”
“That is what applied learning is all about and the students did a fantastic job.”
